With big projects like + Sustainable Schools
Due to its global dimension and its deeply ethical approach, we would like to highlight this project. Since 2004, the School participates in the Agenda 21 programme by the Barcelona City Council, currently known as + Sustainable Schools. The objective of the Citizen Commitment for Sustainability programme in Barcelona is to work for sustainability through education and contribute to a worldwide project that helps us envision and build a better and more sustainable world, starting with interventions in our immediate environment.
In our School, the Environmental Education Team is made up of a teacher from each educational stage. They coordinate the actions and resources necessary to transmit the spirit of sustainability and of the care for the environment at all levels. Examples of some of the actions carried out include: the classification of waste and its reduction; the creation of the Orchard for the use of all the different educational levels; the integration of our new building as an example of our commitment towards a more rational use of resources; our participation in multiple external projects and the ongoing training of our teaching professionals in the field of sustainability, a skill which accompanies the maturational and educational process our children and young people go through.
